KAPOLEI FYI: RAIL AT THE CROSSROADS – THE ISSUE: HOW TO FINISH THE SYSTEM THAT HAS PROMISED

For Kapolei and West O‘ahu residents, it’s not a question of whether the HonoluluRail Transit (Rail) should be built. The question is how the full  system will end up being built if additional funding is not secured. STAR-ADVERTISER: AT-GRADE RAIL WON'T WORK FOR OAHU

Numerous studies on Honolulu’s rail project have all reached the same conclusion: at-grade light rail cannot deliver fast, frequent, safe and reliable transit service for Oahu. This is why the Honolulu City Council, after carefully considering all options, chose a grade-separated system.
